Professor Julian J. Rimoli

Professor Rimoli was born in Argentina and educated at
Universidad
Nacional de La Plata where he obtained his Engineering Diploma in Aeronautics in 2001. After
moving to the United States in 2004, he became a graduate student at
Caltech,
where he received his M.S. in Aeronautics in 2005 and obtained his Ph.D. in Aeronautics in 2009. After graduation,
he accepted a Postdoctoral Associate position at Professor
Raul Radovitsky's group at
MIT in Cambridge, MA, where he conducted research
and supervised graduate students for over a year and a half. On January 2011, Julian joined
Georgia Tech as an Assistant Professor of
Aerospace Engineering. Julian's
research interests lie within the broad field of computational solid mechanics, with a particular focus on problems involving multiphysics and multiscale modeling of solids.
